Green Pharmacy is India's first structured medicine take-back initiative  training pharmacists and citizens on safe disposal of expired and unused medicines. Pharmaceutical waste is an invisible but serious source of soil and water contamination, antimicrobial resistance, and accidental poisoning of children and wildlife.

Sanitary & Special Care Waste

India's First City-Level Sanitary Waste Management System · SWM Rules 2026

In partnership with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), this landmark initiative creates India's first ULB-led system for collecting and scientifically disposing sanitary waste and special care waste  including diabetic and pharmaceutical waste from Mumbai's homes, schools, hostels, and institutions. Daily, free collection via QR-code registration.
